SPOTLIGHT 2025 Auditions, Parent & Student Volunteers

AUDITIONS: @ Primary school Auditorium: 

Wednesday, 1/15th, 3:45- 5:15pm
Thursday, 1/16th, 5:00- 6:30pm

Dress Rehearsal: Friday 2/28, 4-7p @IHHS Auditorium

Show: Sunday 3/2, Starting 2p @ IHHS Auditorium

Spotlight is an Essential Fundraiser for the music and art programs at the Primary and Elementary Schools.

The PTO is proud to support this long standing IH Tradition for students K-5 to display their talents.

Tickets will go on sale in January for $10 each.

Parents of students participating in Spotlight should expect to volunteer at 1 of the following: Auditions, Dress Rehearsal on 2/28 or the Show on 3/2.

OR

An older sibling may volunteer during Dress Rehearsal on 2/28 or the Show on 3/2.

Check-in and Responsible for calling acts to be ready to go into PS auditorium at assigned time slots. This is a very important volunteer position to help with timing and flow of the evening. Sign up for a timeslot that overlaps with your student's audition time.

Auditions Students Grades K-5 @ Primary School Auditorium
  • Acts must be 2 minutes or less. For the auditions they can show less than 2mins if they haven't practiced the entire act. 
  • Each student may only participate in ONE act. 
  • Have your student arrive 5 minutes before their time. An Adult must be present to supervise their student while waiting. Dressing up is not necessary. 

*AUDITIONS are only for planning purposes. We do not reject acts unless they fall outside of the school rules.

Acts can be solo or group acts, sing, dance, stand-up comedy, martial arts, tumbling, play instruments. Be creative!

We are seeking 6 DYNAMIC 5th graders who are ready to take to the mic and MC the Spotlight Show for us! This role will require rehearsal. MCs will work collaboratively to develop their script! ENERGY required!

We need 6 responsible students (Grades 6-12th) to help Mrs. Watson in getting the next 3 Acts from the Green Room to backstage, for community service hours.
